What's the difference between an L1E and an L3E? They are essentially the same bike, but the L1E is limited to the moped category, no WOF, ride on a car licence, with a sub-50kmh limited speed achieved through a clip-in limiter (removeable for off-road use). The L3E is complied and registered as a LAMS-approved motorcycle, and not limited. As such it will have full performance, a WOF, and the rider needs a motorcycle licence.
